Meet The Team

Sandy Stuart
PRINCIPAL SOLICITOR
Sandy is a country girl who enjoys what the city has to offer. She grew up in New South Wales and moved to Pallara, Queensland when she married her husband Mitch and started Lightning Legal in 2020. They moved to neighbouring Forest Lake in 2024 to have a bigger yard for the kids to run, swim and play. Sandy enjoys visiting places with the family such as the Gold Coast beaches, Moreton Bay, Mount Tamborine forests, islands off Redland, Somerset dams and Scenic Rim farms and wineries. Sandy also enjoys volunteering with kids programs and activities at local schools, churches and not-for-profit organisations.
From a background in strategic project management, change management and consulting in government and higher education, Sandy decided to open a law firm with a difference that was genuinely concerned for client’s best interests and could help them traverse through life’s major milestones. Sandy enjoys advising clients in their property negotiations and estate planning, while offering streamed and efficient legal services whether in person or through use of modern technology.

Priya Seib
SOLICITOR
Priya is a proud mum of two little ones and loves the joy and energy that comes with raising young children. She has a passion for travelling and discovering new places—whether that’s uncovering hidden gems across Australia or immersing herself in cultures around the world. She enjoys winding down with a good book or movie and a nice glass of red. As an Australian-born Indian, having grown up in New South Wales and spending a few years living in India, both places have shaped who she is and has given her a strong appreciation for diverse experiences and perspectives.
Priya began her legal career working at a large firm while completing her undergraduate degree, with a primary focus on Tax Law. This experience gave her a strong foundation in legal analysis, attention to detail, and client service. Priya is incredibly grateful to now be part of the team at Lightning Legal and to have the opportunity to work for our Queensland clients in Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, Forest Lake, Pallara and surrounding suburbs. She brings the same dedication to her role here, supporting our clients with clarity, care, and confidence. Priya genuinely cares about people and the impact our work has on their lives, and she approaches each matter with empathy, integrity, and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcome.

Ashleigh Fanning
ASSOCIATE SOLICITOR
Ashleigh grew up in Gauteng, South Africa and moved to Far North Queensland with her family at the age of 16. Quickly falling in love with, and wholeheartedly embracing, Australian culture, Ashleigh enjoys the camping at K’Gari and Moreton Bay, seeing Australian native wildlife with her daughter, watching the AFL with her husband (Up the Lions!) and considers “The Castle” as one of Australia’s most iconic movies. Outside of the office, you will find Ashleigh sipping on a carefully crafted home-brewed cuppa, listening to Afrikaans classics and playing boardgames (particularly Catan!).

Ashleigh began her legal career in 2018 as a law clerk on the Gold Coast before becoming an admitted solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia in 2020. Since this time, Ashleigh has had the opportunity to work in a variety of legal practice areas before settling in residential property law. As an Associate Solicitor for the Lightning Legal team, Ashleigh provides a high level of service with compassion, advocacy and understanding throughout the legal process aiming to always deliver the best outcomes for her clients.
